The one big upside of this pandemic is that it has focused people’s attention on the need to take better care of their health. Even the CDC has said that the human immune system is the best remedy for this virus.

Diet and nutrition are hot topics right now. Let us look at some statistics:

  • 45 percent of Americans said they were cooking more in the previous month.
  • Dietitians report that their clients are less interested in dieting, and more interested in sustainable eating patterns that enrich their long-term health.
  • In America, 40.0% of young adults aged 20 to 39 years are obese. The number goes up in the older age group. (44.8%)
  • US students receive less than 8 hours of required nutrition education each school year, far below the 40 to 50 hours that are needed to affect behavior change.

So, it’s hardly surprising that Americans don’t have a good grasp of what healthy nutrition is and how important it is to their health. The good news is that 37.4% of the population now eats more healthy food. (Journal of Translational Medicine study.) The other 63% need your help.

There are thousands of people in your community who don’t have the knowledge of nutrition to improve their health. They may not have made the changes to their diet, but they are all aware that they need to. This pandemic has penetrated their resistance to change. They know they should be making changes to their diet and lifestyle.  They just don’t know what to do.

And that’s where you come in. You have the knowledge.  You can give them those 40 or 50 hours of coaching that’s needed to affect behavior change.

Even if they’re not yet ready to start a Nutrition Response Testing® program, they will most probably be open to nutrition coaching.  It’s an easy gradient to get someone started on the path to better health. And it can be done online, so it’s safe to do in this time of spiking infections when people may still be reluctant to come in for a face-face appointment.

Now is the time to Change the Paradigm.  Check out the Nutrition Coaching Course.
